AT&T loves WiFi. And it knows that you love WiFi too. So it just bought up WiFi hotspot operator Wayport for $275 million in cash. Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that AT&T would be offering free WiFi to iPhone users, the carrier has confirmed that BlackBerry users will soon get the same access. AT&T operates WiFi hotspots across the country in airports, Barnes and Noble bookstores, McDonald’s, and Starbucks.
